In the novel by Sara Gruen, Water for Elephants, the major characters in all told in all face encroachs. Another resolved conflict is when some of the workers kill Uncle Al. Sara doesnt tell us for sure as shooting who kills him, scarce we can guess that its them because Uncle Al caused conflict by existence mean to the workers and throwing them off the train when it was moving. Thats why Marlena and Jacob end up together. Its because theres no more conflict. But then when Marlena dies, Jacob ends up in a nursing home because his children dont want his conflict, so they ordain him there.
